Just a quick post, I went in and fixed the chat issues that have plagued the last couple shows. We’ve switched to a new system hosted by GeeksIRC (so big thanks to that site!) and now it should work just fine. Anonymous handles return (something that everyone wanted from the classic chat) so enjoy it!
TO JOIN CHAT:
-Enter a nickname under the “Nick” input, this will be the handle you will be known as in the chatroom.
-Click “Connect” to join the chat.
-That’s it! Enjoy the show!
See you all tomorrow (or today really) @ 9PM sharp! We’ve got an awesome show planned!

So the NFL seasons halfway point has come and gone and with it clear superbowl contenders have emerged among both conferences. At the midpoint the AFC looks to be slightly stronger than the NFC but the NFC does have a lot of talent. Both conferences feature one undefeated team each but are they necessairly the superbowl favorites? We will take an in depth look at each contender team.
Cream of the Crop:
Indianapolis Colts(9-0): The colts are not the most balanced team in football but they do get the job done on the ground and in the air. 3-time NFL MVP Peyton Manning leads their passing attack. He is a complete quarterback who has alot of playoff experience and has one of the best wideouts to throw it to in Reggie Wayne. Joseph Addai is starting to hold his own in the running game. Along with a strong defense this team is a strong contender and definitely a superbowl contender.
New Orleans Saints(9-0):Like the colts the Saints biggest strength is through the air behind the arm of Drew Brees, however, with the emergence of Pierre Thomas this offense all of a sudden is two-dimensional and is even more potent then it already was. The saints sport one of the best defenses in the game anchored by safety Darren Sharper. He is a beast with the pick 6 this year helping an already potent offense.
The Second Tier:
Minnesota Vikings(8-1):The Vikings are arguably the most balanced team in the entire NFL. The Brett Favre saga is well known but he has come back with a fury looking like his old self and definitely leading a great pass game and helping out a young recieving core. Then there is Adrian Peterson, arguably the best running back if not the best player in the NFL. He takes a lot of pressure off of Favre and helps this team be who they are. Oh and they’re D isn’t bad either.
Cincinnati Bengals(7-2): What a resurgence this team has had! Carson Palmer looks like the Palmer of old, Ochocinco is actually playing and not talking, and the addition of Cedric Benson has this team a definite threat. The addition of Laveranues Coles has also given Palmer another target to throw to. Their Defense has also done its part along the way, not dominant but hey they get the job done.
New England Patriots(6-3):Many people would probably argue with me putting the Patriots at this level. But had Faulk caught the ball cleanely they would be 7-2 and have a huge win over the undefeated colts. But thats not how football works, however, they are still a very dangerous team. With Bardy, Moss and Welker they will always be hanging around. Their biggest weakness is they are a one-dimensional team.
Best of the Rest:
Pittsburgh Steelers(6-3): As the Bengals proved they are not on the same level as the Bengals but the Steelers are still a very potent team. They have a great defense and behind Rothelisberger and Medenhall a great offense. So they are definitely a contender.
San Diego Chargers(6-3):This team has been playing great lately. Phillip Rivers has been superb and has shown why he was a top 5 pick in the 2004 NFL draft. Darren sproles has been good but, i can’t believe I’m saying this, LT is starting to look like well LT again so a definite contender.
Denver Broncos(6-3):This team looked unbetable at the beginning of the season but has faltered of late. Can they rebound? It depends on the staus of Kyle Orton but the Broncos are very talented and could make a playoff run if all goes well.
Cowboys/Eagles:Both these teams are very similar featuring inconsistent QB play and no running game. Whichever team gets hot last will be in the playoffs.
Arizona Cardinals(6-3):These guys are on the list purely because they are the defending NFC champions and have talent. Can they repeat what they did last year? Only time will tell.
Wild cards:Dolphins, Ravens, Texans, Giants, Packers, Falcons, Panthers
All of these teams have legit chances of making superbowl runs. However, the two favorties right now have to be the Indianapolis Colts and the Minnesota Vikings. The Colts deature the best offense in the game as well as the best quarterback in the game. They can beat any team in the AFC but they wont just glide through. The Vikings are favorites because of their balanced offense. Favre and AP will have defenses on their toes trying to guess pass or run making for a deadly play action. The winner between these two teams would be Indy just because of a feeling I have.

Title Number 2?

Can AP and Old man Favre get it done?
